NRTG Auditions
Auditions for 'My Fair Lady' Feb 11 & 12

Auditions for our April-May production of My Fair Lady will be held on Mon. & Tues. February 11 & 12 at 7:00 at Cardinal O'Hara High School Performing Arts Center.
And don't forget, while auditions are held only a few times each year, you can always volunteer to help out at anytime.  See our Helping Out page to find out about volunteer opportunities.
Casting Decisions
Announcements of final casting decisions are made on this website on our Casting Announcements page.   All of those who are offered roles will be contacted by phone before the cast list is posted. NRTG Casting Announcements
  General Audition Info
Auditions for Niagara Regional Theatre Guild (NRTG) productions are held several times throughout the year, on weekday evenings.  These are open calls—no appointment is necessary.  Usually, auditions for two shows are held at the same time, with everyone invited to audition for both productions if they wish.  Performers of all levels, beginner to professional, are welcome.
All roles are open for auditions; there is no pre-casting.  Call-backs are most often held later the same week, usually within 3 days of the initial audition.  Many roles are often cast without callbacks, so not being asked to return for the second round of auditions does not mean that you will not get a part.
Those trying-out for musical productions should bring sheet music for a single audition song.  It is not necessary that it be a song from the show.  An accompanist will be provided.  Candidates for all shows will be asked to do cold readings from the script.  NRTG does not require that auditioners prepare a monolog.   Unless otherwise specified, auditions are held at:

Directions to the Theatre
Watch this page for updated information.  Specific dates and times are posted here as soon as they are available, well in advance of audition dates.  The week before auditions, announcements will also be posted in the Buffalo News ("Behind the Scenes" in Friday's Gusto magazine), the Niagara Gazette, and in ArtVoice.
Rehearsals
Rehearsals for the each show will usually begin immediately after the show is cast.  This generally means within a week or two after auditions.  When two shows hold auditions at the same time, rehearsals for the later show will not begin until after the first has opened.
Our standard rehearsal schedule begins 5—6 weeks before opening, working Monday through Thursday evenings, 7 pm—10 pm (though in the early weeks not everyone is called for every rehearsal).  We pride ourselves on our family-friendly rehearsal schedule, with no Friday or weekend rehearsals until the week before opening.
The week before the show opens will always include a Friday evening rehearsal.  Be prepared, as well, to work all day (approx. 11 am—6 pm) on the Sunday before opening, for load-in and either a run-through or technical rehearsal.
Rehearsals are held in the auditorium of the Cardinal O'Hara Performing Arts Center, attached to Cardinal O'Hara High School in Tonawanda.
Crew Hours
All cast members are asked to put in some crew hours, helping with sets, props, costumes, and publicity.  Work parties are scheduled once rehearsals have begun and take place on the weekends leading up to the show.
